Natasha Shipp
Program and Research Manager
For Natasha Shipp, policy has always been personal.
Growing up learning how to navigate the healthcare system for her mother and grandparents showed her just how many people need an advocate to uplift their voices and create real change. This kind of advocacy work is what drew her to Horizon Group.
Natasha cultivated her passion for public service while debating in high school, leading her to intern on her first political campaign in 2015 and 2016. In college, she interned on two political campaigns, attended a civic engagement conference at the Harvard Institute of Politics, and volunteered her time to several other organizations. She was honored as both the Outstanding Senior in Political Science and the Norman Thomas Outstanding Senior in Philosophy.
At Horizon Group, Natasha works with various non-profit and market research clients on projects and programs that benefit communities. Her clients include non-profits Keep Iowa Beautiful and Humanities Iowa, where she leverages her strategic insights and unwavering commitment to effect positive change.
Natasha lives in West Des Moines with her partner and cat. Outside of work, Natasha enjoys reading and watching science fiction and continuing her education, now informally, through her work as the assistant editor for Janus Head, a journal of interdisciplinary studies in literature, continental philosophy, phenomenological psychology, and art.
