Senior Program Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an organized and proactive Senior Program Manager to work with our dynamic management consulting and research team. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic, adaptable self-starter with over five years of experience in program and project management. This role will work on client project implementation, ensuring high-quality service delivery aligned with Horizon Group’s values and new brand identity. Key responsibilities include providing program/project leadership, strategic support, guiding research projects and ensuring operational teams meet client deliverables and business requirements efficiently. Our clients include both for profit and non-profit businesses, government entities, associations, and non-partisan policy initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Be adaptable, creative, work hard, and have fun.
  • Lead and deliver high-quality services to clients, ensuring timely execution and consistency with Horizon Group’s values.
  • Support project management, strategic thinking, and planning, making strategic recommendations to clients.
  • Be comfortable doing some “administrative” work. At Horizon Group, we do it all – the mundane to the big picture.
  • Assist with the execution of market research projects. Work in a highly consultative manner in partnership with a team and conduct all phases of research, providing strategic input to support Horizon Group clients.
  • Assist with writing, editing, and formatting discussion guides, surveys in Survey Monkey, data tables, presentations, and reports.
  • Serve as a teacher, coach, and mentor to staff, fostering their growth and development in their roles.
  • Collaborate with the President/Owner to develop and operationalize her management services vision.
  • Lead/Assist in proposal development.

Other Duties:

  • Undertake additional responsibilities that always seem to pop up!

Qualifications:

  • Proven record of managing customer service teams and delivering results.
  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, political science, business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to work independently and as a high-performing team member.
  • Proactive in contributing new ideas and perspectives to internal and external discussions.
  • Ability to advise clients in accordance with contract/services.
  • Capable of managing multiple diverse projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in technology tools, including Microsoft Office, Zoom, communications software, databases, and other relevant software.
  • Positive attitude with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with clients and stakeholders, even in challenging situations.

Salary:

Salary will be commensurate with the experience, skills, and qualifications that the candidate brings to the position.
